  1. right on!!!

    • FIRST THE REALITY OF THE SITUATION: ANY THING YOU SAY WILLLLLL BE USED A G A I N S T YOU. EVEN IF AN OFFICER GETS ON THE STAND SWORN TO TELL THE TRUTH AND SAYS THAT YES HE BELIEVES YOU AND YOU WERE NOT EVEN THERE AT THE TIME OF THE ALLEGED CRIME IN HIS OPINION…… THE PROSECUTION ATTORNY WILL SAY HEARSAY AND THE JUDGE SILL SUSTAIN. AND THE OFFICERS TESTIMONY ON YOUR BEHALF WILL NOT HELP YOU. IF YOU INVOKE THE 5TH YOU ARE ALSO ADMITTING ASSOSIATION AND WILL BE VIEWED AS GUILT. SAY NOTHING. THAT IS HOW YOU DEAL WITH ARREST. SAY NOTHING UNTIL YOUR LAWER IS PRESENT.

ALSO….. It is every citizen’s duty to resist false arrest.

There is no such crime as “resisting arrest.” This is a fictitious crime dreamed up by law enforcement to accuse a citizen of a crime when they refuse to surrender to the illegal demands of the police.
The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled on numerous occasions that resisting a false arrest is not merely a citizen’s right, but his duty! In fact, the Supreme Court has gone so far as to rule that if a law enforcement officer is killed as a result of actions stemming from a citizen’s attempts to defend themselves against a false arrest, it is the fault of the officer, not the citizen.
Here’s a short collection of relevant court rulings on false arrest and resisting arrest:
“When a person, being without fault, is in a place where he has a right to be, is violently assaulted, he may, without retreating, repel by force, and if, in the reasonable exercise of his right of self defense, his assailant is killed, he is justified.” Runyan v. State, 57 Ind. 80; Miller v. State, 74 Ind. 1.
“These principles apply as well to an officer attempting to make an arrest, who abuses his authority and transcends the bounds thereof by the use of unnecessary force and violence, as they do to a private individual who unlawfully uses such force and violence.” Jones v. State, 26 Tex. App. I; Beaverts v. State, 4 Tex. App. 1 75; Skidmore v. State, 43 Tex. 93, 903.
“An illegal arrest is an assault and battery. The person so attempted to be restrained of his liberty has the same right to use force in defending himself as he would in repelling any other assault and battery.” (State v. Robinson, 145 ME. 77, 72 ATL. 260).
“Each person has the right to resist an unlawful arrest. In such a case, the person attempting the arrest stands in the position of a wrongdoer and may be resisted by the use of force, as in self- defense.” (State v. Mobley, 240 N.C. 476, 83 S.E. 2d 100).
Do individuals have the right to come to the aid of another citizens being falsely arrested? You bet they do. As another court case ruled:
“One may come to the aid of another being unlawfully arrested, just as he may where one is being assaulted, molested, raped or kidnapped. Thus it is not an offense to liberate one from the unlawful custody of an officer, even though he may have submitted to such custody, without resistance.” (Adams v. State, 121 Ga. 16, 48 S.E. 910).
And on the issue of actually killing an arresting officer in self defense:
“Citizens may resist unlawful arrest to the point of taking an arresting officer’s life if necessary.” Plummer v. State, 136 Ind. 306. This premise was upheld by the Supreme Court of the United States in the case: John Bad Elk v. U.S., 177 U.S. 529.

It is every citizen’s duty to resist false arrest.

      • § 195.05 Obstructing governmental administration in the second degree.
A person is guilty of obstructing governmental administration when he
intentionally obstructs, impairs or perverts the administration of law
or other governmental function or prevents or attempts to prevent a
public servant from performing an official function, by means of
intimidation, physical force or interference, or by means of any
independently unlawful act, or by means of interfering, whether or not
physical force is involved, with radio, telephone, television or other
telecommunications systems owned or operated by the state, or a county,
city, town, village, fire district or emergency medical service or by
means of releasing a dangerous animal under circumstances evincing the
actor’s intent that the animal obstruct governmental administration.
Obstructing governmental administration is a class A misdemeanor.

  2. Is this valid only for the US?

    • Well you can try using it in another country. I hear Singapore is nice.

  3. Good luck out there everyone.

  4. Thanks for posting this

  5. OCCUPY AMERICA WE ARE THE 99%

  6. You might want to give out accurate information if you are trying to provide a service.

First, you don’t have the right to remain silent AT ALL TIMES. You are required to give name and date of birth when an officer asks it.

Second, an officer does not have to inform you of those rights (Miranda) UNLESS THEY ARREST YOU AND INTERROGATE YOU! Both things need to happen before you get Miranda.

Third, you CANNOT refuse all searches! An officer can pat search you for safety (not go into pockets) AND you will be searched no matter how much you refuse if you are arrested.

Fourth, you cannot tell an officer to allow you to leave when he has detained or arrested you!

Seriously, get a law degree before giving out legal advice.

    • Thanks for the clarification, makes sense. This seems very basic to me, not really law degree material though. We need stronger education in schools, to make sure we know our rights.

      • You are absolutely correct on better education. Our school system started to fail after the 60′s. Ironic….The demonstrators then were very educated. Think the government wanted american citizens to become stupid. Please all be careful we are on the brink of becoming a dictatorship. Congress has a bill they are trying to push. They will be able to arrest anyone accused of being a terrorist and hold them without due process indefinitely. The bill is worded deceitfully it does include american citizens. A National Guard has recently been arrested because he told his commanding officer that he would not fire on the american people if ordered to do so. These are not coincidences nor are they conspirecy theories. Please excuse my spelling but share this message! Again my prayers are with you!

    • “Second, an officer does not have to inform you of those rights (Miranda) UNLESS THEY ARREST YOU AND INTERROGATE YOU! Both things need to happen before you get Miranda.”

      - Arrest and Interrogate you then read you your Miranda rights huh?

  7. If you write your name and give a signature, then you have identified yourself. That’s tantamount to not remaining silent. Isn’t that a contradiction?

    • That is not valid as a form of identification. You CANNOT lie about your identity to the police, that is a crime. You have to be able to provide proof that the identity you gave is valid. A piece of paper with a signature on it will not constitute valid ID. Also, the “right to remain silent” means you have the right not to self incriminate, not the right to be quiet. You don’t have to answer exceedingly probing questions but Name, D.O.B., Address, and reason for xxxxxx, are all common questions and should be/may have to be answered. Be polite with the police, they’re just doing their job. They have an obligation to uphold all laws just like you have an obligation to perform your duties at whatever job you have.

  8. I can translate in Farsi. How can I help??

  11. I ancay anslatetryinaigpay atinlay

  12. I like how you want to change the government, and you think its corrupt, but you want the laws and protections of the Constitution. Laws men and women have given their lives for.

    • AND, i MIGHT ADD, THIS COUNTRY IS GOING TO HELL, WE NEED TO GIVE THANKS TO THESE PEOPLE WHO ARE PROTESTING, AT LEAST THEY HAVE THE GUTS TO GO FORWARD, THE RICH ARE TAKING OVER, AND SELLING US OUT TO CHINA. PULL OUT YOUR STOCKS, LET IT CRASH, BECAUSE THEY’RE GONNA TAKE IT, ANYWAY. CALIF. IS ALREADY SO CORUPT, ESPECIALLY SONOMA COUNTY, IT’S CONTROLLED BY THE “POLITICAL ELITE’ THAT RUN IT. THANK YOU, FOR GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO VOICE MY OPINION. lUCIANO

      • If this country is going to hell, why does everyone want to come to it? Honestly! Where do you live? Cause I grew up in the middle east! You have no idea what poor is! The rich are rich because they worked to get there and im not a 1%er cause i work full time own a house and go to school full time. Do i like my job? No But I work so I can sleep in my home and work for a better future.

    • Bill, you really don’t get it, do you ? how indoctrinated has fox news and cnn made you ?
we want to change the laws and loops in the laws that protect the people that steal from all of us, we want to punish the corrupt that created the loop holes in the laws, we’re not against the goverment, we’re against the shadow goverment that runs the goverment, its executive offices and agencies.
none of us ever wished to change the consitution, by contrary we wish to bring it back from the laws that have banished it. the admendements which impede on it and the acts that have say in place of it.

get a clue. we respect the constitution, for which it stands, and the nation under god that it should be protecting.

educate yourself past what the shadow goverment controlled media wants to show you.

    • You fucking idiot. No one wants to change what makes this country great. We want to change what’s killing it.

  13. Is there any lawyer degree who can help with this post, I thing we need some correction an some legal consultancy.

  14. We are losing OUR constitutional rights! Fight fire with fire

  15. YOU GUYS, GO FOR IT!!!! IT’S ABOUT TIME, OVERDO, IF I WAS YOUNG, I”D BE THERE, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, IT’S ABOUT TIME SOMEONE HAS THE GUTS TO CHALLENGE THIS FRIGIN SYSTEM THATS CORRUPT, WE AS THE MAIN TAXPAPERS HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!!

  16. Where can I submit translations?

  17. Those of us with IQ”s over 200 usually sit back on things like this, but as you’re getting bigger now and famous, well……. You are leaderless, I don’t really see this as a positive. You have complaints like a schoolyard full of angry children. It seems a platform of change is really the major concern right now. I mean to say what do you really want to happen here? The political power you have is in your vote. Even more if you were to get an honest and clearly desireable candidate for office, then back him up with this same drive. I think I’m seeing desperation rising to action and since you have no real guide to this, well it is just not going anywhere. I myself, feel for you. I feel the same rage you do, as well about things bigger than this. In my own words (as I am half asleep right now) I would like to remind the Supreme Court that Thomas Jefferson wrote in the constitution “There shall be a separation of church and state and state and church”. He wrote this to make a dramatic statement. As he returned to the writing he crossed off the separation of church and state with the comment: “That as we are human, we require this moral compass”. Or something close to that anyway. As Bill Clinton was elected (just before or while he was getting BJ’s in the oval office) he changed (with house and senate) the constitution to include SEX and SEXUAL ORIENTATION as the prime entities to retain all rights. You got a real contradiction to God (or one nation under God) here. Women deserve certain rights under God and as well us. But nothing is equal, just ask any applied math major or someone who is married there. Men and women are not equal, just wired and geared for differant roles. But I will remain afraid of this change you allowed to help the child molesters of NAMBLA. God made them too, didn’t He? Everything the self-rightoous democrats make up for homosexuals, IS as well, the same about them. Anyway, as you have come to realize about who has the money has the control in the family, you gave up the designed roles of men and women in favor of a double income unit. This has had more to do with us then you think. You are teaching children it is OK to do these things that they do, who is the molester now? As you have separated the sexes even worse with authority and social domination, you created an education for the kids based on lies to not “offend” people. Men still retained (for the most part) the morals of treating women as the weaker sex. Women commonly take every advantage of this and get to “Have their cake and eat it too”. Well, I have a huge amount to say about these things but, for now let’s get to what can help you. Here’s what you should do: FIRST: Demand an investigation on contributions from tobacco companies to those elected to office. How did they (Since 1801) make smokes they (Since 1801) called “White Slavers” with meth class chemistry and still today can, without question, sell them openly here? Did you know that doesn’t do anything but addict you? So, why do they get to (In the year 2011) keep doing that? Not even labeling the stuff in them? What about the health insurance companies? We are at their mercy, and they have NONE for us. It isn’t 50% of our income so why would it cost 50% if it were federal? Follow the money. I don’t think they’ll let you though. Why are we giving up Iraq? Make them pay us back, they are loaded. Right now we have a bigger problem than Iraq. With the end of those regimes in the middle east, we are faceing a new religious leadership of a religion that has the goal of domination, not peace. You notice Jesus can be insulted but not their so called profit? You are scared. Do you think your patronizing them is going to save you? NO, NO, NO! It enables them. Immigration is being played with for electing the wrong people. Just so they not “offend” whatever, you think they are being “nice”. And you are blindly going along with it so you look righious, like “It’s the right thing to do”. It is not. This country was a place to worship our God freely, as Prodistants. It happened in 1960 that something else was elected. Remember? “Anybody can become President”. We became a melting pot. But when you give up God, as we have, you now celebrate diversity. You have no longer a definition of “What is an American”. Careful, you might “offend” someone. You, the 99%, have yourself turned this place from a melting pot to a septic tank with separate rooms. You allowed the politcians to do this. OK, since everybody is something else (not just an American), 99% of what? We are now REALLY indiviuals, huh? How about seeing if the President YOU elected, can revise the grant system? If the last 4 Trillion was put in there and reasonably supervised, we would be brusting with jobs we have to fill. You voted for this change, what you’re not happy? Maybe you should have asked him what change besides the change to a more homosexual society that can’t smoke pot. He is still fighting for this, what are you fighting for? The freedom to sodomize kids and jail the potheads? Well OK, you bitched and bitched how Bush ran us up 2 trillion in 8 years oh man, now in 3 years Obama has run up 4 Trillion (Now at 14 Trillion) and where are the kids to pay it? Oh yeah, gays don’t make kids. They import them from other countries. Great. Can you see your end coming? Careful, you might “offend” someone. There is so much to point out to you but, I am falling asleep. WELL, just what got done with our 4 Trillion bucks? Are you sure you are protesting the right place? Why is medicine being stopped when there are cures in other countries? China has the cure for diabetes WHY CAN’T WE GET IT? Ask Obama. When you have these “Protests” …… Why not call the police in and have food for them. Let them know that they (the police) were in fact what we fought for to get all their benefits and huge pay raise. They have that now. What about a little understanding. You want max press min losses and injury right? See how they can honestly help you get that. They look good, you get the press. We fought for you and now you need to fight for us not against us. Do it quietly, don’t put them between a rock and a hard place, see? Don’t be demanding, use diplomacy. Also, I would want to find out who started this. Are you sure this no leader policy isn’t to cover up another political move? You have to be smarter than this. Why aren’t you in Washington D.C.? It was Bill Clinton that started this mess. He came up with a road to create a surplus to look good and Bush had to continue and now the bubble burst. Yelling at the banks is about as good as yelling at the money in your wallet. Banks cannot make the changes you want. The changes of Obama are killing us dead, why aren’t you MAD about this? Also, have you thoght about what is going to happen when the kids marry the same sex of the older and collect all that social security as survivors? Where is the money coming from? Print even more? We need to set a new idea of America up for discussion. Because you have to have some goal in mind, right? I wish I could have this all in person with you, because I know how bad things have gotten. It’s just I don’t know which one of you that is! I have a bunch of things to do and I have to get some sleep. I say this to you: Please see your fight is for a good change we can all live better with, please use your heads and maybe head to the White House…….they give tours you know.

    • Ned, your post is PERFECT. I feel the same way. WOW. I was just talking to my wife about this and its like, you posted exactly what i was telling here.

    • We didn’t elect Any president, Ned. We don’t belong to the Left like fox news tells you, or the Right, We see that both sides lead to the same slaughter house. We understand that the shadow goverment you peak of has been in full swing for many decades now and we understand that we played into this for too long, We Know that the citizens of BEFORE are at fault for allowing this to happen, We also know that We are OBLIGATED by the constitution to fight it at all costs.
You talk about setting up a NEW America but the basis is in the confines of disallowing homosexuality ? sounds like the same old story to me.
You want change but you sit there instead of Standing with us. Throw away your parties, your politco agenda’s that they have indoctrined into You. Stand with us to create a new goverment, to free our country from the shadow one that plays us like puppets with their money and sway. You are a Leader as well as the rest of us, and together we stand firm. Maybe even with You as our head Voice !

    • Condescending much? With an IQ of 200, one would think you would know how to construct a coherent argument broken down into specific points (ever heard of paragraphs?). Instead you’ve presented a few good points peppered with narrow minded, bigoted and empathetically void garbage. Perhaps you did score well on some IQ test, but obviously fell far short as a well adjusted and emotionally secure human being.

    • Zimmerman,
It is painfully obvious that your IQ is far below 200. When one has an IQ that high, it is expected that this individual possesses some grasp of the English language. From your post, it would seem that you were too busy hating homosexuals in school while your teacher explained the fundamental rules of grammar. What seems more likely to me, however, though we can’t be certain, since I don’t know my IQ and most certainly am not part of the 1%, is that you were home-schooled by your bigot parents. Better yet, you were a member of one of those churches (cults) that requires all its members to dress this way or that, attend school in the church (cult), date within the church (cult), marry within the church (cult), and do whatever the preacher/pastor/minister/(cult leader) tells you do do.
This “moral compass” that you claim Jefferson felt we needed, has led people astray far more often than it has led to peace and justice. This self-perpetuating lie; this vile disease of the brain that you call religion; this God that your book tells you spoke everything into existence, is all a fairy tale. If things were so Godless; so terrible, and this country so vile for declaring it okay for people to be themselves, why doesn’t your God, in his infinite power and wisdom smite us as he did them? Why is it that ever since we started writing down our history as we saw things happen, there are no more miracles. Why is it that for every “miracle” that has ever occurred there is a rational explanation when one looks?
You are a weak, pathetic person to stand behind the wispy, gold-leafed pages of that “holy” book you constantly clamber through, without ever gleaning true insight. Repeating the words and upholding the values of others without looking for any sort of truth for yourself is a sad and desperate existence. This religion, your God, blinds you. It asks you not to question it. It demands that you have faith in something you cannot see, hear, touch, smell or taste. But claims that you can feel it. That wherever two or more are gathered, you have called upon a corner of the trinity.
I want you to do something for me (and yourself). I want you to read the Bible, back to front, start to finish. What I definitely do not want you to do is analyze it. I want you to read it. Don’t listen to your church leader, who dances around from one passage to the next each week, speaking for an hour about the meaning and truth behind a fifteen-word portion of a book.
Read the entire thing and then write a book report. I want you to tell me what happened in the book. I think you’ll be confused by it, and that it won’t make sense. I think you’ll find that many contradictions exist within its pages, and that its words speak out against themselves over and over. I think you’ll find that there are many loose ends in the book, many questions unanswered, and many questions answered with riddles and poetry.
      The reason for this is:
Your book started out as a story. This story was passed orally from one generation to the next over thousands of years. I don’t know how much trust you have for the ability of a humans to understand and present a situation precisely from one individual to the next, but I know I have never heard a rumor, even one passed through a chain of people only a dozen or so links long, told the same way twice. Each person tells the story with a different spin, a different tone, a different candor. Each listener is confused by one fact or another, or forgets this detail or that one. Oral tradition is not viable as a source for the truth. It’s here-say (remarkable how akin that word is to heresy: one more space, one more letter). The fairy tales of the “Good Book” are just that. They are certainly nothing to be basing one’s moral values from. Not to mention, most of these “prodestants” (it’s protestants fyi, as in protest, as in refusing to abide by the rules in their existing context) obviously don’t do everything the Bible tells them to or they would not be judging and condemning everyone.
Personally, it’s the whole “Hey I’m your God and you shouldn’t put others before me, and you should always do what I say, so get in this garden and don’t eat that one kind of fruit, and don’t listen to that snake that I just put in that garden either cause he’s a bad guy, but he used to be my very best angel, and oops you ate the fruit so now you know that you’re naked and you have to wear this leaf, and now women are not as good as men and they have to carry the babies and bleed every month, and heres a couple of kids for you, I still love you and you should still worship me even though I kicked you out of that garden, but I am going to allow one of your kids to kill the other, just for kicks and…. (FAST FORWARD)…. hey everyone on my creation is corrupt, Noah, so i want you to build this big ole boat and I want you to get in it with your family and two of every animal, and save yourself cause it’s about to rain up in this mug, and when it’s done I’d like for every animal and every human on Earth from here on out to be a product of incest, and then it rained and the whole world flooded and then there was this pretty ribbon of color in the sky telling Noah God would never flood the world again (which we homosexuals you hate so much have since adopted as our sign :-D) and then (FAST FORWARD) there was this virgin that had never had sex that I just felt really compelled to impregnate with my holy spirit cause she was such an admirable woman that she should carry my baby and, after nine months of riding this donkey toward Bethlehem she’ll get turned down at the Inn and have to sleep with the goats and pigs and such (which are dirty animals that it’s still not okay to eat) in the barn and have my son out of doors in the winter and wrapped up in fabric scraps, you can just lay him in that feeding trough, he’ll be fine, and here come the wise men following yonder star, bringing that gold and frankincense and myrrh, sorry i would have had them come a day sooner so you could have paid for a nice room in the inn to have my son, and now here my son is and he’s going to teach all of you how to be the best people you can be, only he doesn’t do such a great job, cause he gets turned in by his bff, then whipped and beaten and strung up and nailed to a cross with two thieves, and then his momma and his prostitute lady friend, and the rest of his buddies are all sad, cause Christ is all dead and stuff, but then he’s not, cause Momma Mary and Hooker Mary had gone down to the cave where they had put his corpse, but the big rock was moved and he was gone. He walked around again for three days, (he had been in hell paying for all your sins, cause Jesus suffering for a week or so, three days of which were down in Hell with that guy who used to be Daddy’s favorite angel and then was that snake, and who’s prodigy and the antagonist of the ongoing story, were there a truly followable plot, the anti-christ who you guys get nervous is coming around every four years or so, cause you know it’s just gotta be that damn democratic presidential nominee, remember how everyone thought Gore was the anti-christ? then it was John Kerry? yeah….. you guys are REAL smart people)
Anyways so then for like three days or so my son is back on Earth and he preaches a couple more times and tells everyone that God loves them and that he has absorbed all their sins and as a result of taking all our punishment (as long as we believe in him) he gets to sit right up there next to God, completing the trinity, along with the holy spirit (whatever that is, because despite my most sincere attempts at grasping this whole thing I really can’t figure it out. Cause first there was only God, right? and then there was what? light? light came first right? and it was good. Then the earth and the sky and blah and animals and from the dirt man, and from a rib woman, never really got why you wanted to create something, in your own image, then dismantle part of it, and create its counterpart….. but whatever it’s your story, G, but still then there is no explanation of where this holy ghost or spirit or whatever came in and what completed the trinity before God knocked Mary up? was he there the whole time? or what?) and not my son’s gonna come live with me up here in the heavens, and now all his friends are writing letters back and forth and there is this one guy, John, he had this really crazy dream about horsemen and seals and doom and plagues and the end of the world and stuff, and there’s this dragon coming up out of this lake of fire, and then there’s fire coming from the sky, but just before all that i’m gonna pull all the good one’s up, this whole end of days thing is kinda like this “last call” to get on the right track and get right with me and my son so you guys can all come live with me so get ready cause you never know when it’s coming cause you know to God a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day or whatever so it could be like, tomorrow, or it could be like, in a thousand years but its definitely coming cause the prophet said so, just like that homeless guy on 53rd tells you the end is near every morning on your way to work and you roll your eyes, except he’s actually write, it is near, he can’t get a job and barely scrapes enough food from the garbage to survive, but that’s really what i look for in people I want to deliver my message. I don’t care to have a conversation with people who are rational and have homes and money and lives, no, I would never deliver any prophetic visions to someone that could actually make them known, or has a platform to reach people, I’m gonna talk to this guy that sleeps on this A/C exhaust vent and talks to pigeons

      Really Zimmerman?
This is the God away from whom we have turned? This is the story from which we should derive our moral and spiritual values? This God can’t even get his “people” the ones that are supposed to be the good guys that are leading the rest of us into the light, organized. This is the God that can’t decide if his original people should have the holy land for good or not. This is the God that gave us life? And Cancer? And Diabetes (whether or not the Chinese have cured it)? And who allows famine? Who loves us but “works in mysterious ways”? W T F.. it’s all a sad, blind, existence, where nobody asks questions that mean anything and, even if they do ask a good question, are satisfied with the riddle that the book provides in return.
There must be a separation of Church and State for the State to work properly. Obviously this rule is left to a massive interpretation, because nearly everything to do with our Government reeks of religious fervor.
It is not the homosexuals or the other people turning away from God that is ruining this country. It is the fact that our constitution, along with its many amendments and supreme court rulings share an aspect of your Bible, they are contradictory, many loose ends are left untied, and they do not answer all the questions properly. We amend the constitution to include this rule or that, the supreme court rules in XXX v. YYY that blah blah blah and now that’s a law, and there’s this circumstance and that one. The fact is, a talented attorney could wiggle a con out of just about any crime that con wanted to commit, and they do every day. and when they do their twisted rulings become defacto law making it easy for the next con to commit that crime and get away with it, and to know which attorney to call if they commit a different one that there isn’t a loop-hole for yet.

And who are the people that most often abuse the justice system? the 1%. they use their money and political clout and market power to get information and cheat this system or that and are only moderately careful of any laws they might break while doing so, and certainly not concerned for the lives they might shatter in the process, and they scrape together all the money that is out there and then give part of that money to lawyers and bankers and launderers (making them the percent right after the 1%, we’ll call them the 2%) semi-sorta rich just so they can hide all that money and not give their share to the government, because you’re right, they did work hard for it. Considering the richest companies in the world are those who, with the most honest intentions and the purest of hearts, keeping their heads down and hustling through life, always working hard. yeah right. the 1% are the 1% because they are greedy ruthless people with worse morals than us homosexuals or the “prodestants” because they don’t care about anyone but themselves, including their country, and would rather watch all of us kill ourselves while we scrounge for food in the grimy streets than give up a dime for the betterment of society.

Who the hell needs that much money? I am a student and even paying college tuition (not ivy league mind you, but it’s still tuition) a person in my position and in my location could live very comfortably on less than 20,000 a year. Who could possibly spend a billion dollars? Without inflation, I could live comfortably in this location for 50,000 years. WHAT??? and there are people with MUCH more money even than that… who still prefer the cheaper labor in other countries for the production of the items that make them this money.

We have this company. Call it JUMBOCORP. They could pay Americans minimum wage ($7.55/hr) to make thier product, but it takes 10 people 10 hours to make it that’s 755 dollars just in labor, not to mention the raw materials for the product cost 5000, and the advertising for the product line was outrageous too, and we have to turn a profit. We know that our consumers are willing to pay 75,000 per product, but that only leaves like 69,000 and some change per product, so let’s outsource. we’ll have all our work done by people in other countries with lower minimum wages. These countries have lower costs of living, too, so it’s not like we’re cheating them. but since that’s semi-sorta illegal we’ll do this instead, we’ll send them our plans, making sure to copyright everything, then we’ll have them worry with production and everything and we’ll by our product back from them. this way, with shipping and all other considerations involved, we’re cutting costs 20% which means instead of paying 5 and some odd thousand dollars per product, we’re only paying 4 and some odd thousand…. and we’re making 70000 per product instead of 69…..

seriously cheat americans out of jobs for that meager profit increase? think i’m exaggerating? okay so i probably am just a bit, but that is the basic idea isn’t it? Now consider this. Americans are the no. 1 consumers. we buy everything we have. the 1% have all the money right now. They are the company owners. They are the ones sending the work to China or India or Madagascar or wherever. Draw this diagram: money comes out of the 99% pocket for toothpaste and soap and food and this and that and this and that. and every now and then we buy a TV or a Car or some other product. You better believe that odds are pretty high that some 1%er or another has their sticky fingers in all of those industries. they are taking all of your money. it might take it a while to get to them, but that’s the final destination. That’s great. they are making all the money whatever. The big problem is, they aren’t putting it back into their current consumer base. they are outsourcing it to X country for that tiny profit increase, remember? They don’t really care either way because they have more money than God, but for Americans it’s a truly scary idea. where does this money come from? Where does it go? Who decides that my toothpaste is worth $2.49 or that a shirt is worth $70? what is the relationship between price, value, cost, and true cost? What is the economy based on? Gold? Diamonds? Silver? Platinum? does everything with value have a price? does a high price necessarily mean high value? one wonders…

That’s the 1%. which you are not a part of or you would be on your Yacht watching the stock market and counting your money.
that’s what they do. they exploit the 99%, taking their money for nearly any kind of product, then send that money out of the country to make more product so the 99% can spend more of their money and have it sent to another country too. Pretty soon what will happen is there is no more money to suck out of the 99% and we’ll all be jobless, homeless, hungry. But then, what happens really? Say the economy crashes. The American Dollar is worthless.Nobody can turn a profit. Does that mean we are also unable to teach? to learn? to cook? to give massages? to practice law? to design? to farm? to create? to paint? to write? to invent? no….. money is nothing. It has no value….. it drives a market that could drive itself. what will happen though, when the crash comes? will everyone just give up and die? because they are out of green paper? i don’t get it…… I seriously don’t understand. If everybody in america had their houses taken away, who would be able to buy the house? and with no market, why take the house anyway? there is no money offered for it, nobody can afford it? there is not market, no supply and demand. What happens then???????

Zimmerman you are stupid, and I think I can speak for all homosexuals when i say the following: we are not all child molesters, just as not all of you heterosexuals are violent rapists. We did not choose to be this way, we were Born This Way. There is nothing wrong with Adam marrying Steve, and while we’re on the topic of marriage, what the fuck difference does it make to the breeders if the gays can get hitched anyway. HOW WOULD GAY MARRIAGE IMPACT A STRAIGHT PERSON IN ANY WAY? IT WOULDN’T!! JUST AS SALLY AND JOHN GETTING MARRIED DIDN’T AFFECT YOU. GET OVER YOURSELVES AND MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!!!!!! WE’RE NOT ASKING YOUR CHURCH TO RECOGNIZE US(not all of us anyway) WE SIMPLY WANT OUR GOVERNMENT TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT GAY PEOPLE SHOULD BE ALLOWED THE SAME GOVERNMENTAL RIGHTS TO THEIR PARTNER IN ALL RESPECTS AS STRAIGHT PEOPLE HAVE. THIS MEANS THAT THE ONLY THING THAT WOULD CHANGE WOULD BE THAT WHEN SO AND SO GAY GUY GOES INTO THE HOSPITAL, IT WILL BE HIS PARTNER THAT ACTUALLY LOVES HIM MAKING THE DECISION RATHER THAN THE MOTHER AND FATHER OR BROTHER AND SISTER THAT DISOWNED HIM WHEN HE CAME OUT OF THE CLOSET. THIS MEANS THAT WHEN JOE AND LARRY GROW OLD AND WRITE THEIR WILLS, AND THE FIRST ONE TO GO LEAVES EVERYTHING TO HIS LOVER, THE GREEDY FAMILY WON’T BE ABLE TO CONTEST THAT WILL CAUSING UNNECESSARY EMOTIONAL DISTRESS ON THAT PERSON, SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T LIKE THE WAY HE LIVED HIS LIFE.

I’m getting off here because there are so many more social issues i could bring up that make me sick to my stomach.
      but seriously, ZIMMERMAN
go to a therapist and explore this homophobia and take a stab at what is causing it. you know most homophobes are actually repressed homosexuals themselves? or maybe your son is gay? or your best friend or something and it just tears you up cause that good book told you it was a no-no? i dunno, not sure why you even care about that so much or why you even brought it up in this post since the occupy movement has nothing to do with gay people as a group…… get a life.

      • You are the bomb Lee. Thanks for your honesty

      • Fantastic, Lee. What a beautiful response to such nonsense. :-)

    • I.Q. over 300?… ever heard of using paragraphs?…. I stopped trading your post because I fell asleep & of my chair about 1/3 the way.

  18. Tell them your name, address, date of birth request to see a doctor and your lawyer. That’s it, tell them nothing else because they will use it against u. The doctor just incase they beat u while in detention, they can’t when u have a medical report from before.

    • Wanker. You better hope you never see me on the street, fleabag, cos I’ll beat the motherfucking shit out of you.

      • The hatred you feel for others may be stemming from your father’s treatment of you when you were an adolescent. It’s okay, his ideas about a man’s worth don’t have to be yours. You wouldn’t be here unless you were either A) unconsciously curious about the movement, or B) scared that the pain and fear you’ve known your whole life aren’t necessary, forcing you to actually do the hard work of living – making decisions about what YOU value as opposed to what you believe others value. I hope you someday have an opportunity to feel the amazing power of living a life in love of others and yourself and the world.

        • Very well stated, YourTherapist. It will be heaven on earth when humanity finally awakens to this truth: Unconditional love is our birthright. Serving others, in this light, is our purpose for being. Start forgiving yourselves, now!

  19. you guys are retarded get off the streets and go get a job

    • Exactly if you spent as much time looking for a job as you did sitting on ur ass and feeling sorry for yourself you wouldnt be poor. stop blaming the “shadow government” because you cant get work. Plenty of places are hiring sorry its not the job of your dreams but its income, do it til something better presents itself instead of standing around bitching doing nothing. Btw what do you consider rich and poor? is there no middle class in your little system of classification? do you make $30,000/year and consider yourself poor? or is that part of the 1%? i cant get behind something that seems like it was cooked up by the same guys who start riots at WTO gatherings.

  20. You have the right to take a shower as well, you smelly loser.

  21. I’ve spent weeks trying to figure-out what the OWS people want? I understand you are protesting because you are part of the poorest 99% in this country (so am I), but I don’t know what you stand for and what change you would like to see. I feel like Washington is corrupt and that our government often does things not in we the peoples’ best interest so I am intrigued by so many folks protesting, but I haven’t been able to join the movement because I’m baffled at what you all are trying to accomplish. I know the system is broken, WE ALL DO, but what do you want to happen? How do you fix it? Tell me what your ideas are, please.

    • for those of you who cannot figure out what OWS stands for……unbelievable….my Jr High School daughter understands more than you. ‘End the influence Wall Street has on our government, on everything from the taxes that are paid (or not paid) to the special interest lobbying that is bought by both the 1% and the corporations they work for or represent’……If you pulled your head our from in front of FOX you may learn something instead of letting them and their kind lead you around like sheep.

    • I feel very much the same way, but I read back up the page aways about strength in numbers. I think many people have differnent goals to accomplish through OWS. No matter what you stand for, you have a better chance of succeeding with others on your side.

  22. Do not feed the trolls. They are silly.

  23. This is an excellent video on how to deal with police. It’s about 27min long but it is excellent,

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4097602514885833865

  24. If you do not know what this movement stands for, please see the “ABOUT” section of this very website. Google “Occupy Wall Street demands.” Or simply read them below, because I have taken the time to do so. These have been around since very early in the game, despite what media would like people to think.

(taken from wikipedia)…protesters want more and better jobs, more equal distribution of income, bank reform, and a reduction of the influence of corporations on politics.

While the Demands Working Group favored a fairly concrete set of national policy proposals, others within the movement prefer a looser, more localized set of goals and they have put together a competing document, the Liberty Square Blueprint,[60] a wiki page edited by some 250 occupiers and still undergoing changes. The introduction to the draft document read: “Demands cannot reflect inevitable success. Demands imply condition, and we will never stop. Demands cannot reflect the time scale that we are working with.”[

  25. 1. Don’t translate this, it’s not valid in other countries.
    2. Yes, the police are going to laugh when you hand this to them, but if they do anything after that to violate the rights you are legally claiming than any lawyer will be able to get you off.
    3. The legal language is perfect. You aren’t saying, for example, that you claim the right not to be searched, just that you don’t consent to a search. The difference is that if they arrest you, or have justifiable cause to search you they may, but in all other cases you are explicitly saying that you do not consent to a search.

  26. Troy:
    A. If choosing to pay off private debts, the government should consider doing so for student loans, which will open millions of people’s power to spend into an anemic economy and grow business.
    B. As it is clear that investors and businesses are not motivated to make jobs for Americans with the funds obtained through revised federal tax codes, the codes should be returned to previous levels (1995, 1979, or 1954).
    C. As Congress is inevitably controlled by the money needed to get reelected, remove all outside money from the process by making it Federally funded in order to reduce the undue sway multinational corporations have over elected representatives. Moneyed interests have agendas radically different from the populace our elected officials are supposed to represent.
These are three key points made clearly by the Occupy movement. Why does no one seem willing to actually engage their stated objectives?

  27. OUTRAGED, INDIGNES, INDIGNADO, OLTRAGGIATO, غضب, 愤怒, εξοργισμένοι, Возмущенные, upprörda, verontwaardigd, empört, ofensat, öfke, .. __________________ You are waiting for “change” but you think it’s not up to you to act? Do you hope to live your life in a different way some day? That the whole world can live differently? If so, change needs to take place within yourself at first. The world can evolve when each of us questions himself. Don’t wait untill someone else does it for you because everyone has a role to play. Every voice is important, vital. Essential. Don’t be disappointed! We hold all the cards. Point is to play it in an intelligent way. Each day more and more people get upset worldwide. This is reality. Inform yourself and you’ll see. One person can make the difference. Do you really want your children to inherit a world which is worse than ours? Do you want to leave them in this living nightmare? Born to serve power and capitalism? ‘Cause THAT is the reality of our futur…

  28. Haven’t you taken this joke too far? Do you really think that you are worse off than the majority of people that populate this planet? The fact that you have the privilege of living in the United States of America puts you (no matter how poor you think you are compared to Bill Gates or Warren Buffett) in the top 1% of the world’s wealth. You are arguing against the very system that provides you the opportunity to pout and whine like the spoiled brats that you are. What I don’t understand is why you stay? There are plenty of places in the world that already have the forms of government you are pushing for. Why not go to Greece? Wait, their economy is tanking! Why not go to Italy? Oh wait, their economy is tanking. Why not go to Spain? Oh that’s right – they are looking for a bailout too! Your ideologies are played out – the history is written. Marx was wrong. You leftist wackos are driving this country into the ground. But don’t worry. You’re time is coming. Obama has already hitched his cart to your pathetic excuse for a movement which will ensure he is not re-elected. Once we get the community organizer out of the White House and put someone with some fiscal sense and true leadership qualities in his place we will begin to be able to right the ship. And to answer your question Dracul – YES! I want my children growing up in a country where CAPITALISM IS BOSS! It is the only economic system in the world that rewards hard work and inspires innovation. Why do you think we have come further in 250 years than Europe and the Middle East has since the Middle Ages? If you don’t like it get out. No one is forcing you to stay. Maybe spending some time under the oppressive arm of socialism would give you a little perspective.

  29. Read the very next article “The Legal Fiction: How They Control Us” http://howtocamp.takethesquare.net/2011/11/17/the-legal-fiction-how-they-control-us/

This ‘legal advice’ is seriously flawed in many ways. Fist of all, they have to have “probable cause” to even question you or ask for ID. There is NO “law” that allows them to do random ID checks, there must be a REASON such as a victim has filed a complaint against you, or the officer has PROBABLE CAUSE/EVIDENCE that you have committed a crime (real crimes must have victims, no victim = no crime) Running a stop sign/red light is not a crime, but harming someone in the process IS.

The reason for asking for ID is to establish that you have consented/contracted to be/represent a “Person” (legal fiction), because they ONLY have jurisdictional authority over legal fictions NOT living breathing souls of men or women. The best defense (way above any “Constitution”) is to KNOW WHO YOU ARE, and QUESTION their jurisdiction. Tell them you are NOT a “Name,” but a living breathing flesh and blood man/woman commonly known as _________… Among the first questions you should ask of them is “what is your probable cause” or “do you have probable cause or evidence that I have caused harm to another man/woman”

Lawyers/Attorneys are for the incompetent…!!!!! By hiring a lawyer you are making a statement that you are INCOMPETENT to speak for yourself in “court” (a kangaroo, ponzi, corporate scam game) you had to hire a representative to do your talking because you are too ignorant to know what to say or are unable to speak. But that all changes when you realize you are ALIVE… Dead corporate courts can not see or deal with a LIVING BEING….

read the next article and my website jcolehaley.com for more info and links on sovereignty and how to deal with policy enforcement officers.

  30. Carry an index card that reads this word for word

    ***ATTENTION OFFICER***
    THIS IS A PUBLIC NOTICE
You know your actions are constitutionally limited.
I am NOT under YOUR jurisdiction.
You are personally infringing on my RIGHTS
I invoke all of my RIGHTS – I will NOT waive them.
I wish to remain silent; I have nothing to say.
I want a lawyer, BEFORE I answer your QUESTIONS.
I will NOT consent to a search.
I am now instructing you to release me.
    Have a nice day OFFICER
“Violators of this NOTICE will be charged including but not limited to contempt of court and felony kidnapping” (in small print)

I never leave without at least three of these on my person.

    • Your an idiot…you sound like a 5 yr old starving for attention.

  31. I have been trying to understand this. I feel its right. Even though we are a country more fortunate than others we are not alone in this. This is a WORLDWIDE issue, I believe.
I see the effects in my own town…LAS VEGAS, NV
I have never protested. We have a camp here, they pay rent.
They have port a potties. They talk in a loudspeaker, I heard one of them say
“this movement has been more on the internet, so lets not renew the lease….lets just continue online”…..all I heard was “more on” because it sounds like “moron”

From what I gather….rent and leases aren’t the going trend in other states.
I have no idea. I am ready to start camping out behind my place of work so I can occupy next to my occupation.

My town has been pretty hard hit…and my family…and my friends….and me.

  32. I am in Las Vegas. The camp here confuses me. I don’t see why they have to lease their spot.
I am looking into starting another camp downtown.
I hope that my boss doesn’t mind it if I pitch some tents in the parking lot of his strip club….this is no joke.
I used to have a pretty good job In the “union” I guess business has picked up BUT I DONT CARE.
I am going to try to find people truly interested in doing this in a way that makes a strong statement. I think people in Vegas are afraid. I am afraid….I never protested before…. I like fear sometimes because it motivates me to DO SOMETHING.
ALL THIS OTHER SHIT SCARES ME TOO!
SITTING HERE BITCHING ABOUT IT DOES NOTHING!
Maybe I am just a spoiled brat like that other fuck said about americans earlier….
he seems full of shit to me, I do appreciate that you let his posts be read however.
IT FURTHER INCREASES MY DESIRE FOR TRUTH.
I am not a very educated person, I am doing my best to search for information. It looks like alot of hard work that one person would need alot of help with. Las Vegas has an “occupy” … I have wandered over to listen and one of them said the movement “has been more online….so lets not renew the lease go home in do it via internet”
I have screamed at the top of my lungs trying to get a camper to tell me about this movement. I have had an argument with a woman over beer bottles she wanted me to throw away for her because they are camping next to the Double Down and that was somehow my fault, I told her double down doesn’t recycle.

    • Hi Emma – this is my first day on this website and I was looking through the emails here. Just keep up your search. Its early days in this movement, but its starting to catch on in the country. We all are getting involved for our own reasons, and also because the whole country is going in the wrong direction. Fewer jobs, with longer hours for less pay, less opportunity for education, less access to health care. The housing situation is just scary and lots and lots of people are hurting.

Things can be done to make the situation better, but they’re not getting done. The rich and the powerful are getting everything they want and MORE. At our expense. For me, this is all about getting the attention of our government to stop helping these rich powerful people and start working for the people that vote them in. I’ve seen it happen once in my life, and we’re going to do it again.

      Keep at it.

  33. I work in law enforcement in the northeast. Its terrible that the relation between cops and OWS went south really fast and at this point like irrepairable. Those who work in LE are part of the 99% and i think it is great that a group can assemble and voice their opinion against the 1% that is bring us ALL down. I struggle to make ends meet like everyone else and i try to make every interaction with any individual positive. Not everyone in LE wishes harm / malice..it is just a few bad apples.. good luck.

  34. Great info ! things every U S citizen should know

  35. you are all stupid turds. stop crying boo-hoo and create your own wealth. pussies.

  36. Having just read all the posts above I realise that no matter how bad a system might be, there will always be those who prefer to support it and live with it – I mean the ones who say in abusive terms that protesters should just f… off and get on with life and accept what it may bring. They exist in the USA and in even in truly oppressive countries – they are the regime supporters of Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Syria; go figure!

But the fact is, acceptance is always easier than striving for a better, fairer life. When you point out how iniquitous (and inadequate) the tax system has become in the USA, ultra conservative Republicans are likely to say something like: “I don’t support wealth redistribution” (I have people like this in my family!). Despite barely making a living themselves, they refuse to acknowledge that maybe the top 10% should be paying at least a proportional amount of tax as the lower and middle income earners. Perhaps they just don’t believe how many unscrupulous people in the financial sector got rich and got bonuses while the bulk of the population got ripped off through the unfettered greed of Wall Street and its ilk during the global financial crisis.

Whether you love him or can’t stand him, Mike Moore has posted a set of objectives for Americans as a whole that would indeed get the USA out of its current mess – not overnight, obviously, but actions that could not help but steadily and inevitably improve the situation. I watch from afar and wish America well because if it fails then so does the rest of the world.

  37. All you people who are talking badly about the protestors are exactly what is wrong with this world. You people make me so ashamed and I feel sorry for you all. At least the protestors have guts and at least they stand up for what they believe in. All you people do is say ignorant meaningless remarks that make you look extremely uneducated. You can’t just “create your own wealth”. That is the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. I wonder how old some of you even are or if you have ever gone without or wanted for something in your lives. Working for 8 dollars and hour and trying to pay all of your bills and trying to provide for your family is pathetic … no human deserves that. Do we all not deserve to have our basic needs met, do we not all deserve to be able to live without worrying whether we will have electricity next month! You should all feel ashamed of yourselves, these people, the 99%, are the backbone of this country. If we, the 99%, just got up and left this country the rich would fall within weeks and be left with nothing.Quite frankly, they deserve no less.

  38. I just took time out of my Sunday morning to read all these ridiculous posts. I must say, it was a complete waste of time. Maybe I’m missing the point. What’s so bad about America? It seems to me like you’d all be so much happier if you’d quit complaining about this abstract concept–the 1%–and focus on doing your best to be functioning members of society. Start by getting a job, subscribe to a cable provider (there are some really great prime time shows on these days–you ever watch Two and a Half Men? Hilarious! And now there’s a new American Idol called the X-Factor–young men and women that not only are talented, they are respectable citizens), get a Sam’s Club member’s card (Great deals! Need I say more?), and, most importantly, start enjoying your lives as Americans.

As that darling young woman Rebecca Black chants, “fun, fun, fun, fun. . .lookin’ forward to the weekend.” And let me tell you, you can’t reasonably expect to have fun, fun, fun on the weekend unless you have a job, job, job in reality. That’s what America is all about: working hard and playing hard. Moreover, America’s founding fathers did not only emphasize the importance of leisure activities in building a New Republic, they emphasized diversity. Diversity, in addition to “deregulated” (lol) recreational weekend fun time, is a fundamental tenet of our federalist republic–notice I didn’t say democracy because the U.S. is not a democracy, nor is any other nation on this planet, albeit many countries including the U.S. do strive to maintain democratic principles.

Just to clarify: when I say diversity, I’m not talking about the proverbial ethnic melting pot–who cares? We’re all Americans of varied cultural backgrounds living on territory that was once occupied by Native American Indians until, in the 19th century, white American males of European decent perceived that Indians couldn’t be “civilized” and assimilated into the New Republic and therefore decided that the only reasonable way to deal with them was through policies of removal–I’m talking about a vastly more significant form of diversity that transformed us from a society with limited markets to a robust market society that emphasizes individualism, competition, and consumer liberty! Whoo! Can you feel it?! I’m talking about market diversity baby, and it’s gettin’ my pee pee hot!

Now, I’d like to say something that might sound controversial. We, citizens of the U.S. of America, are not free people. We never have been and we never will be because our constitution does not even pretend to guarantee total freedom. Freedom can be defined in many different ways especially in varying contexts and I’m not trying to start a philosophical debate because I have neither the time nor energy to participate. Generally, I’m referring to freedom here as an ideal of democratic societies like our own (not a democracy). Our founding fathers had no intention of drafting a constitution that provided freedom to the public thereby creating a democracy in which all members have an equal say in decision making processes. The “virtuous” and “competent” landowning, white, men that drafted the constitution of the U.S. feared democracy, which they associated with mob-rule and anarchy. Therefore, they created a federalist republic, a strong central government that somewhat resembled that of Britain, sans a monarchy.

Sorry about the bullshit history lecture. I own volumes of History Channel DVD’s, all of which I highly recommend. I guess my point was supposed to be that market diversity and consumer liberty define America more than any other qualities; except, maybe ill-informed, rabid jingoism that all other societies of the world have had to observe in a post-911 era. But really, we have no freedom; we have perceived liberties, such as the opportunity to spend our hard earned cash in a variety of markets within a society that is dominated by capitalism. Moreover, I don’t believe that most Americans would want total freedom. Total freedom, in which the free market is deregulated and entirely responsible for meeting the needs of a society sounds (to me) unsustainable and dangerous. I believe that even Ron Paul supporters have concealed desires for social institutions–it’s not shameful to admit that we all rely on them to some degree. By the way, I mean no offense to Ron Paul supporters.

Well, that’s all I’ve got for now. It’s time to snort more adderall, which I purchased through my favorite deregulated market, and get some shit done so I can buy more stuff that I don’t really need; but, it makes me feel good about myself. I suggest you do the same. Also, drink lots of coffee because research suggests that it may help prevent types of cancer that you can’t afford to get because if you have an insurance provider, they will likely drop your free-loading, terminally ill ass if you should have the audacity to expect a service you pay for to actually do what the fuck it purports to do. One more reason to drink coffee: it’s America’s national beverage! Remember the Boston Tea Party?

  39. Is this valid in all states? If not, which ones is it valid in?

    • *facepalm* The constitution applies to all states in the United States

  40. Noam Chomsky supports OWS. Enough said. good night.

  41. LET ME SAY THAT IVE NEVER,EVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE HAD TO COMMENT ON SOME PETTY,BABY CRYING,IGNORANT NO GOOD FOR NOTHING PEOPLE THAT HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO THEN CRITISIZE THIS POSITIVE BEAUTIFUL MOVEMENT THAT WILL FLOURISH NO MATTER WHAT U CONTINUE TO THROW AT US.THIS IS WHATS WRONG WITH PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD.ALWAYS NEGATIVE AND NO SOLUTION.SO IF YOU GOT NOTHING POSITIVE,SOLUTIONS OR ANYTHING THAT WILL BE USEFUL STAY OUT.DONT SAY NADA.YOU CANT GET A JOB.CAUSE LET ME TELL YOU IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR 2 YEARS.TUITION IS SO HIGH YOU CANT PAY FOR EDUCATION.YOU KNOW WHATS CRAZY THAT YOU PEOPLE INTERFEAR AND TALK NONSENSE YET YOU BENEFIT FROM ALL.EVERYWHERE YOU GO THEY SHUT YOU DOWN.SO WHAT BETTER WAY FOR US THE 99% TO FIGHT FOR OUR LIFE,FOR BETTER QUALITY AND FOR WHATS RIGHT.SO AGAIN YOU PEOPLE THAT DONT HAVE A SOLUTION STAY OUT AND LET US DO THIS.WE HAVE NO COMMUNITY AND THIS IS WHERE OUR PROBLEM IS.NO UNITY,NO STRENGTH.ENOUGH IS ENOUGH’TIME TO GET OUR DIGNITY,PRIDE,STRENGTH,LIFE AND START MAKING CONGRESS BETTER THE POOR.

  42. I was injured during an arresting. All I was doing, was buying a friggin burger… oh well. I’m for the cause, but I can see it from both angles.

  43. Go get jobs and create your own wealth. Sitting out there protesting doesn’t do anything except take away from time you could be working. Go put this energy into looking for jobs and change things for yourself. Protesting although it is one of your rights isn’t getting you anywhere. Grow up and get serious.
This whole thing to keep in your wallet isn’t true at all. Maybe some of you can put energy into studying law and help these people.

  44. Where did this 99% come from? Who pulled it out of their ass?

  45. It’s too bad… senate just ended all those rights, they no longer apply. this just turned into a war i forsaw 5 years ago. OCCUPY REVOLT PROTEST EXCERSISE YOUR HUMAN RIGHTS AS YOU HAVE NO LEGAL RIGHTS … time to die for what you believe in.. nobody has the luxary of bitching out, this is on all of us. I hope you’re all willing to die for what we all believe in… HUMAN rights

  46. chant

HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA KRISHNA KRISHNA HARE HARE
HARE RAMA HARE RAMA RAMA RAMA HARE HARE

    and be happy!!

  47. The rrights of Americans are dininishing each year. All in the name of safety and security. Those who do not believe this should look at what has changed over time. Now reasonable suspicion has replaced probable cause. The goverment will always create a boogie man, a bad guy, a terrorist to keep you distracted. Goverment ran by the military industrial complex sucking up your money to keep the boogy man at bay. This movement is overdue. I witnessed the change that took place after the civil rights movement, and the movement aginst the Vietnam war. The folks who protested were called jobless, dirty, un-American, communists and on and on. When in fact they were regular people who saw what needed to be done. They were protected by the great constitution of our country. I thank them for their civil disobediance and for the change they brought. This is what makes this country great, the power of the people.

  48. Death to the Illuminati.!!

  49. GET A JOB YOU LAZY BASTARDS!

  50. I’m Dutch, in our country most of the people who do occupy are homeless junkies who just see it as free camping, I’ve been there 3 times and there almost all lazy drunks who are to lazy to get a job. Holland is a great country where everyone has a chance for education and if needed welfare. Our country is nearer to socialism then most other country’s. Still the lazy people who don’t want a job they don’t like ( welcome to the real world bitch ) are protesting against captalims. By the way i’m not the one % my parents are upper middle class and worked to get there. Not cried all the time about how hard the world is.

You people are the biggest morons ever, i feel pitty for you, i really do
( sorry bout the english, 1e year university so still practicing writing it good )

  51. I am not quite sure how I feel about all of this. While I agree in principle, I am not quite sure that I agree with how it is being done. But, then, given our options, protesting in this manner is what is usually done when things need to be changed. yet, again, in order for things to change, the society majority must make a law to create, amend or otherwise change what we find as negative.

What message is OWS really sending to the social majority? Most people look a these camps and see a bunch of young, middle aged people wearing backpacks, camping out for days on end, chanting about this or that, and hoping that people will listen. Then, they go home, feed their kids, watch some tv, get some sleep, and do it all over again the next day. Does it make them want to change something? Probably not.

OWS wants to limit the amount of influence that commerce (corporations, equity firms, etc) have on the legal and governmental system we have in place today. That is an admirable trait. And, as a business owner myself (not of an corporation, but of an LLP), i strongly agree that the PEOPLE need to be the ones who make the decision. But, I am not so blind as to realize the truth:

No matter how true, factual, or necessary the fact, the majority will still overrule it.

Those who make the money, do indeed, make the laws. How much pressure can we, as the ordinary citizen place on the government to pass a law? Not much, at least not without some sort of political support, or commerce support (money) to help back it. All we can do is talk. And, frankly, we can talk until our faces turn blue, that is not the way to make laws.

OWS has some great point. But, there are other things this country is doing that is also as oppressive as corporations making decisions in government life. Look at religion, and what it has done. So many people are terrified to voice out their opinions because it goes against the religious norm. People want to preach, but they are told to shut up; people want freedom, but are constantly being bombarded with missionaries at their doors.

We are a society of contradictions, and frankly, the outcry about the OWS, the need for the OWS, and the pure futility of the OWS represents that. I, for one, and not going to go out, by my place of business, and pitch a tent, and hope that my voice makes the business change. That would be futile. One little ant throwing his voice up against a brick wall of a corporation doesn’t do anything, it just whither and dies in the noon-days sun.

So, what can I do, as an American, who loves this country, who has served in this countries military, who has done what he can to provide for his family and community, to accommodate the change that we all see must take place?

I think the only answer, is really, just to vote. Honestly, the number of people who have voted since 196 is only 42.854%. Less than 50% of the voting population of the United States actually votes. Actually has a say in what goes on in our government. So, the other 57.146% of the voting population just sits back, and accepts the fate of the nation. In 2010 alone, only 37.8% of the voting population took action. That is not enough to affect a positive change.

We say to our children that it is important to vote, but we do not. We ‘elect’ officials into office, but we do not elect them on a majority. Of the 37.8% of the voting population who elected Obama into office, only a slight majority made him win. Honestly, only 37.8% of Americans cared about the presidential election. The other 62.2% of the voting population either did not care, or just didn’t want to vote. Is that really the message we want to send?

How can we claim to be a free people. One where democracy rules, but where we do not take into the ideals of democracy? Where we do not cast our votes for things we think are important. Do you know what happens when only 37.8% of the population votes? 62.2% of the population is left to rely on the votes of others; and many of those others are either a) swayed by lobbyists, or b) accepting the votes of those whom they think are right, but may not actual win a majority.

Religion, commerce, tobacco, oil, all of them have huge roles to play in our economy; most of which is a good thing; but when they start making legal decisions about how we live our lives, it is the RESPONSIBILITY of the American People to vote against it. But, do we? No.

So, what are we really complaining about here? What big business is doing to our economy, and in turn, our government; or what we, as the people are LETTING them do. Does OWS really think that by standing in the streets, protesting, blocking people from working, causing such a stir among the people that more people will vote in the next round of elections? If so, that should be the message.

A little about me, before i’m lambasted here: I am a 32 year old father of two, with a college education, a business owner, an expert in the Computer and IT field, I design software, and I do everything i can for my community. I vote. I voice my opinion. I listen to both sides. I want to participate. I have gone through very tough times. In 2008, alone, I was in the hospital for darn near a month, and racked up just about $320,000 worth of medical bills, WITHOUT insurance. i try to make all my payments on them. I have lived in poverty, making less than my family can afford, my children have gone without food for a few days at a time; sometimes my electricity has been turned off. But, i prevail. I work. i try to do everything I can to ensure that my family is taken care of; even if that means i have to ask for help. Even if that means i have to swallow my pride, go to my next door neighbor, and ask for a cup of milk. Even if i have to hide my religious beliefs, and go to a food bank (which is mostly owned by churches now). Even if i have expose my entire life story, and financial history, issues, etc, to the local government so that, perhaps, in some way, they can help me (like they did for the medical bills). I will work; I am a citizen; I am a veteran, and i STILL believe in the future of this country.

So, what message should I be sending then?

  52. you ows clowns have done more damage than good. you’ve cost millions of tax payer dollars(I guess when you aren’t paying taxes you don’t care), caused small privately owned businesses to close, destroyed parks, infringed upon my rights as a citizen to bring my children to said parks, injured police officers and the list continues…. ALL WHILE POSTING SHIT THIS ON YOUR IPHONES SUCKING DOWN STARBUCKS. hypocrites. GET OFF YOUR ASSES and get a job. enough is enough.

  53. I’ve read it all. Here’s my 2cp. My best friend makes roughly $1400 a month before taxes. That’s about $11 an hour only working 30 hours a week. He lives in a two bedroom apartment on the decent side of town. He has a roommate who he splits the bills right down the middle with. He has internet, cable, a beater to drive (although with public transportation in my town he doesn’t even need it) and usually has food in the house. He goes to see a movie about 2-3 times a year and enjoys reading (welcome to the library folks) and the occasional television program. He has a little spending money to blow and is relatively happy.

    Here’s the kicker.

His father (and his roommate’s mother) help the home from time to time with food. Let’s revisit that sentence… HIS PARENTS HELP!! Welcome to a concept called humility.

Maybe he doesn’t live within his means, knocking out internet and gas on his vehicle could fix that. OH MY! Go without owning one’s personal vehicle or the internet?! What kind of country do we live in!? Little things like this could make someones poor life a little better. Get a bike, get some exercise. Put down youtube and pick up a book. Find alternate means of entertainment that are inexpensive. Get a roommate. The more incomes, no matter how small they are, coming into a single home the better.

Fine. You have a family, I get that. You have extra mouths to feed. The obvious answer is to not have children until you know you can afford them, but not only do accidents happen, but there are (of course) those who ALREADY have kids. Move in with your family. Or put your home on family land! Learn to grow a garden or raise chickens. The concept that when you turn 18 or when you get married means you HAVE to move away from your family is absurd! Isn’t family there to help you!? Isn’t that why you have children so you can raise them and see them succeed? Like I said, the more incomes coming into a home the better!

Never be afraid to ask for help. Chances are, you have a friend or family member who could use a little cut on their bills by adding additional income. Then it’s ok if you only make minimum wage, you aren’t paying for everything yourself anymore! You’re sharing the pains with someone else. Notice I say sharing, not taking on, or passing over. Crazy concept I know.

We aren’t made of money, and making it in this country is easy as all get out if you’re willing to make even a slight amount of sacrifice. My friend works and works hard for his $11 and hour for 30 hours a week. He bought his TV at a yard sale for $20, it’s a 19 inch. His fridge at a yard sale aswell for about $40. Personally, I buy my clothes from thrift stores. Haven’t paid over $5 for a pair of pants in years. Be wiser with your money. Stretch it thinner. Borrow from a neighbor or buddy before you buy something you’ll rarely use.

If you can have two incomes, making $7.55 an hour working 40 hours a week, you can make it stretch. Maybe it won’t be pleasant, maybe you won’t have an xbox computer flat screen television or a yacht. Well, probably not… but you will be alive, fed, and have a little extra leftover to hit up the used book store. Buy something on knitting. Won’t need to buy a sweater in the winter.

  54. for those that post: “get off your lazy ass and get a job” — or something to that effect

    – i have a job, i work, and live comfortably; HOWEVER, i am not THAT SELFISH, i realize that i am fortunate to live in this country but would like to make this WORLD better for EVERYONE, not just MYSELF. that’s the american way, if it doesn’t pertain to me…well, eff it! additionally, i am disgusted by the fact that everyone is searching “for the american dream”

i am saddened that you think this way:

“Start by getting a job, subscribe to a cable provider (there are some really great prime time shows on these days–you ever watch Two and a Half Men? Hilarious! And now there’s a new American Idol called the X-Factor–young men and women that not only are talented, they are respectable citizens), get a Sam’s Club member’s card (Great deals! Need I say more?), and, most importantly, start enjoying your lives as Americans.”

NEWSFLASH: as hard as you work, and as close as you think you come to the american dream, you’ll never get there

if you don’t like the movement, maybe do something better with your time than reading our posts….who’s lazy now?

  55. .I feel it is very imporant to make some essential points here:
    1. Attacking each other and calling us smelly, and lazy and stupid etc.. will not help.
    2. The people of occupy wall st. come from all walks of life.

    3. The movement does have a true cause, and we know what changes we want to see.

    4. The changes that need to occur are, stop bailing out the banks, Lobbists are unessicary and need to go because they don’t allow for accountablity.

Finally I would just like to say, before you make snap judgement about what the movement is about, and what we “want’ from the government do some research. There may be jobs out there but the movement is not just as simple as we want better jobs. We want the seprate of corporations and state. And most imporantly we want equality to know that our governemnt has our best intrests at heart. I have only be to occupy once and I don’t know everything. None of us do. But what we do know is that things need to change. Simply voting and writting letters and voting is not enough, we have to protest, and vote and write letters. The government is supposed to be for the people rather then for the money. Lets make this country what it was supposed to be.

  56. What most individuals are failing to understand is that we are not complaining about others making more money. The fight is directed towards the individuals who are treated above the law for the fact that they are wealthy.

There is a universal disregard for one’s self; to just work and mind your business. The problem with this mentality is that now it has become your business and you want nothing to do with it. Congress has wiped its ass with our Bill of Rights. Obama has become the quarterback to a team of bankers and lobbyists.

You’re all failing to understand that we are not necessary anymore. The United States Government along with the financial infrastructure of U.S. are going to do whatever they want, regardless. If we want change, we are going to have to take it.

Those members of the police department who choose to abuse their authority aren’t going to listen. They’re too busy remembering how much they were picked on in high school.

Our fight is aimed towards the self-appointed masters of our world. It’s a stand against a government that thinks it can do whatever it wants with no repercussion.
It’s about not letting small changes snowball into unstoppable ones.

In a land where freedom must be protected by walls, who is truly free?
